Reporting to and working closely alongside a powerhouse practice group leader, this role will sit within a legal team who oversee a diverse portfolio of matters involving debt recovery actions (both secured and unsecured) and commercial disputes.
Key responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Autonomously running uncontested debt recovery files
- Drafting a variety of documents including:Default notices, Statutory demands, claims and statement of claims, default judgments, enforcement proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, wind up proceedings.
- Serving as the primary contact for key clients
To be successful, you will have:
- 3+ years experience as a paralegal in secured or unsecured debt recovery and litigation
- Experience in drafting statement of claims, default judgments, letters of demand, and preparing affidavits is required.
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
- High attention to detail and ability to juggle competing deadlines
